The Moscow Printing Factory is capable of producing gravures with the application of unique intaglio and etching technologies.
Thus, on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of Goznak the factory produced a limited edition of a gravure series made using the original reprints of the 19th century. They are intaglio printed (such printing is applied in banknote manufacture in particular; only Goznak is entitled to apply it in Russia) using a manual engraving machine. Gravures according to Gerard Delabart’s paintings were printed in the same way at the end of the 18th century.
